F.I.T. the Challenge OCR

F.I.T. the Challenge OCR is an obstacle course racing event held in Cumberland, Rhode Island. The course covers a distance of 3.2 miles and features 1,000 feet of elevation gain. Participants navigate various obstacles throughout the route. Registration options include single laps, multiple laps, and long-form endurance categories.

The event offers several participation formats:

  • Open Wave
  • Multilap Wave
  • Age Group Mandatory Completion (AMOC)
  • Elite Mandatory Completion Wave (EMOC)
  • 12 Hour Ultra
  • Volunteer Multilap Wave
  • Volunteer Open Wave

Athletes in the competitive waves, such as Elite and Age Group Mandatory Completion, receive wristbands at registration. Those in the Elite or AMOC categories who wish to perform multiple laps may continue onto the course after completing their initial competitive wave.

The 12 Hour Ultra category allows participants to complete as many laps as possible within the designated timeframe. Ultra participants have until a specific evening cutoff to begin their final lap. Trail runs nearby

Trail races at Watuppa Reservation in Fall River on May 9, 2026, featuring grassy fire lanes, winding single track and aid stations each lap. Distances offered are 10K, 30K and 50K.

A dog friendly 5K and a 2.6 mile walk at Borderland State Park on May 9, 2026 to benefit School on Wheels of Massachusetts. The event features refreshments, pup cups, kids pupsicles and free t shirts for early registrants.

Run or walk a 5k on the Southern New England Trunkline Trail in Franklin. This event supports the development of an abandoned rail bed into a multi use path connecting local communities.

Celebrate the eighth annual Trillium Spring 5K in Canton or participate virtually from anywhere. Join over 500 runners at the brewery to support Girls on the Run Greater Boston with races for adults and children.
