First Light / Last Light A Common Trail Series - Lancaster County

This is a noncompetitive trail series with no clock, no bib, and no official finish time. The series comprises three morning gatherings and one evening closing event, each held around a Common tent with food, hydration, and social time.

Meetings occur one Saturday a month through the summer. The schedule for the series is June 20 at Historic Rock Ford using Lancaster County Park trails, July 25 at Endo Collective on the Marietta River Trail, August 22 back at Historic Rock Ford, and September 5 at Endo Collective for a sunset close with fire pits and s'mores.

Participants may register for individual events or purchase a multi-event pass that includes a bandana and access through September. The listed per-event registration fee for the June 20 event is $30. Breakfast from a griddle, including eggs and pancakes, is provided at morning events; Labor Day items will shift to grilling. Water and Common hydration are available at the tent.

Where the series meets varies by date. Historic Rock Ford uses the Lancaster County Park trail system with woods, creek, and an overlook climb. Endo Collective places the group on the Susquehanna river trail, which is flatter and more open. Attendees should bring themselves and shoes suitable for trail running and choose whatever distance they prefer on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
