Festive Friston Forest Night Trail Run

Litlington, United Kingdom • 22 Dec 2025

Event overview

The Festive Friston Forest is a five-mile night trail run on 22 December 2025 at The Plough & Harrow, The Street, Litlington, East Sussex BN26 5RE. The route is a self-navigated, predominately anti-clockwise loop through countryside, including forest and downlands, and is the reverse route of the Plough & Harroween 5. The course features many hills and is intended as a night-time adventure rather than a pure race; the event is timed and a tail runner will sweep the course.

Format and practical information

Participants follow a provided Strava GPX route and can download a written narrative to assist with navigation. Required or recommended equipment includes a head torch, a mobile phone with an ICE contact, and ideally trail running shoes; runners should carry any additional provisions and warm layers as conditions can vary across the route. The event is for people aged 18 and older and total entry capacity is 40 places. Parking is limited. In case snow or ice prevents access by vehicle, the event will be postponed to a nearby date.

Entries are priced from £15 (early price) rising to £17 by 17 December 2025. Finishers receive a race number and a festive finisher's medal; returning the race number behind the bar is exchanged for a pint, wine, hot drink, or soft drink. The event includes festive fancy dress with a dessert prize for the best Christmas-themed outfit and time penalties for participants who do not wear a costume.
