FEAR Trail Fest 2026 : Lewis Morris Park, Morristown NJ
FEAR Trail Fest is a 5 miles lollipop loop trail race held in Lewis Morris Park in Morristown, New Jersey on November 22, 2026. The route runs mostly on the Yellow Trail and includes a starting section of crushed gravel on the Patriots Path, a single track loop, and a short Patriots Path return to the finish. The course surface includes rocks and roots and features about 600 feet of elevation gain.
The course distance was measured with Garmin GPS devices and is not an officially measured course; individual GPS readings may vary. The event limits entries to 120 runners and has a 2.5 hour time limit. Registration opens March 18, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026; the registration fee is $50.00. There are no refunds; race insurance is available through RegShield.
Organizers will offer up to three free course preview runs on the race course, with dates to be determined, intended to familiarize participants with the trail. The event uses sustainability measures including cupless aid stations with reusable cups provided by Hydrapak and hemp race bibs in place of traditional PVC bibs. Prizes and giveaways are provided by sponsors including Root Runners, Brooks Running, Feetures, and SPIbelt, with awards for top male, female, and non binary finishers.
