Fayetteville Spartan Weekend

The Fayetteville Spartan Weekend takes place May 1-2, 2027 at McCormick Farms, 7765 McCormick Bridge Road, Spring Lake, NC. The event runs across more than 1,000 acres of varied terrain that includes dense forest, a 200-foot deep quarry, and steep riverbanks. The course uses natural features to create technical obstacle challenges that require balance, climbing, and trail navigation.

The weekend program includes multiple Spartan race formats and options for spectators and families. Distances and typical obstacle counts include:

  • Sprint: 5 km, 20 obstacles
  • Super: 10 km, 25 obstacles
  • Beast: 21 km, 30 obstacles
  • Ultra: 50 km, 60 obstacles
  • Kids Race: 1–3 km, with obstacles

Event materials mention arrival and heat time information, volunteer opportunities, race documents, and finishers awards. The venue layout and natural features are noted as significant factors for course design across the different race formats. Spectator access and a separate kids race are provided as part of the weekend schedule. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
