The FRC Deerfly Trail Race is an annual trail running event held at Carvers Creek State Park in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Celebrating its fifth year, the race offers timed 11K and 6K distances through scenic longleaf pine forests in the Sandhills area, where participants may spot local wildlife like red-cockaded woodpeckers and fox squirrels. Unique to this event are dog-friendly races: the Big Dog 11K and Lil Pup 6K. The race is capped at 200 runners to maintain an intimate atmosphere and is sponsored by Heckler Brewing Company.
