The Cape Fear Holiday Run is scheduled for December 13, 2025, at Cape Fear Shiner Park in Lillington, NC (350 Alexander Drive). The event is described as the first annual timed trail race using a loop that is a little over a mile long (about 1.17 miles) and includes a short paved section. The event offers multiple timed race options and provides parking and space for personal aid stations near the start/finish area.

One central aid station will offer water, Gatorade, soft drinks, and snacks. The event is planned as cup-less, so participants are asked to bring reusable cups, handheld bottles, or hydration packs; limited disposable cups will be available. Porta-potties will be on site in 2025, with permanent restroom facilities planned for the future. Electronic timing will be provided by Clockwork Race Timing. Every finisher will receive a medal; top three male and female finishers in each timed event will receive awards, plus an award for the most holiday spirit. All proceeds will go to the Harnett Food Pantry (a registered 501(c)(3)). Registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable.
