Cape Fear Holiday Run

The Cape Fear Holiday Run takes place at Cape Fear Shiner Park in Lillington, North Carolina, with the site address listed as 350 Alexander Drive, Lillington, NC 27546. The course is a 1.17-mile loop that combines a scenic trail section with a short paved segment.

The event is organized as timed sessions of three lengths: nine hour, six hour, and three hour. Parking is available and participants may set up personal aid stations near the start/finish area. A single communal aid station will provide water, Gatorade, soft drinks, and assorted snacks.

The event operates as a cup-less event to reduce waste. Participants are asked to bring reusable cups, handheld bottles, or hydration packs; a limited supply of disposable cups will be available on site. Portable toilets will be on site for the 2026 event and permanent restroom facilities are planned for the future.

All finishers receive a finisher medal. Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each timed session, and there will be a special award for the participant judged to have the most holiday spirit. Electronic timing is provided by Clockwork Race Timing.

All event proceeds are donated to the Harnett Food Pantry, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Registrations are non refundable, non transferable, and non deferrable. Registration deadlines include a guarantee for a t shirt for registrations received by November 10, 2026, and a general registration close on December 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.
