Cape Fear Holiday Run

The Cape Fear Holiday Run takes place on December 12, 2026, at Cape Fear Shiner Park in Lillington, North Carolina. The course is a 1.17 mile loop that combines natural trail sections with a short paved segment. The layout allows participants to run multiple laps on the same loop.

The event offers these timed options:

  • 9-hour timed event
  • 6-hour timed event
  • 3-hour timed event

There is ample parking and space for participants to set up a personal aid station near the start and finish area. The event provides one central aid station stocked with water, Gatorade, soft drinks, and a variety of snacks. The event operates as cup free; participants are asked to bring reusable cups, handheld bottles, or hydration packs. A limited supply of disposable cups will be available.

All finishers receive a finisher's medal. Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each timed event, and there is a special award for the participant showing the most holiday spirit. Electronic timing is provided by Clockwork Race Timing. Porta potties are available on site in 2026 and permanent restroom facilities are planned for the future.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Harnett Food Pantry. Registrations are non refundable, non transferable, and non deferrable.
