The Cape Fear Holiday Run is a trail running event held at Cape Fear Shiner Park in Lillington, North Carolina. The course is a 1.17-mile loop that mixes trail terrain with a short paved section. Timed event options include nine-hour, six-hour, and three-hour formats.
The event provides ample parking and space for participants to set up a personal aid station near the start/finish area. One central aid station will be stocked with water, Gatorade, soft drinks, and a variety of snacks. The event is operated as a cup-less race; participants are asked to use reusable cups, handheld bottles, or hydration packs. A limited supply of disposable cups will be available.
All finishers receive a finisher's medal. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each timed event, and there is a special award for the participant judged to have the most holiday spirit. Electronic timing is provided by Clockwork Race Timing. Portable restrooms will be on site in 2026 and permanent restroom facilities are planned for the future.
As a fundraiser, all event proceeds are donated to the Harnett Food Pantry. Registrations are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable.
