Course, entries and services

The event is an all off-road trail race on tank trails and fire breaks with dirt, mud, gravel and sand. The course is USA Track and Field certified (#NC-10117-PH). Timing for the 10K uses disposable bib-chip timing provided by a timing company; the 5K is not officially timed and 5K participants receive a bib without a timing chip. All finishers receive a commemorative finishers coin.

Pre-race packet pick-up with T-shirts is scheduled on November 6 and November 7 at local pickup locations; day-of-race packet pick-up is at Beckwith Lodge. Packets include a long-sleeve T-shirt, a store coupon, and a calendar. Awards include overall male and female, top three male and female in each age group, and trophies for the oldest and youngest 10K finishers.
