Fast Track Trail Race takes place at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo, Iowa, with venue address 3659 Wyth Rd. The event uses mainly dirt single track through woods, prairie, and lakefront sections and features primarily smooth running surfaces with gentle rollers and no major climbs.
Course format is loop based: the 13K is one loop and the 25K is two loops. Both distances are run on the same looped route, giving 25K runners a repeated circuit for pacing and strategy. The race is described as well maintained and runnable rather than highly technical.
