Fast Track Trail Race

Fast Track Trail Race takes place at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo, Iowa. The course uses mostly smooth dirt single track through woods, prairie, and along lakefront sections. Trails are described as fast and flowing with gentle rollers and no major climbs.

Distances offered:

  • 13K single loop on runnable dirt single track.
  • 25K two loops of the same runnable single track course.

The 25K course repeats the loop, which can aid pacing and strategy on the second lap. Aid on course is limited; water, electrolyte, and fuel options are available at the start and finish area and at the beginning of the second loop for 25K runners. Runners are advised to carry personal hydration and nutrition because on course support is minimal.

Race services include professional race photos, race bibs for 2026, handcrafted awards, race swag, and food and drinks at the finish area near Canfield Shelter including Casey's breakfast pizza. The event presents a friendly, low key atmosphere and is intended for runners who prefer runnable single track and a low support race format. This edition is the fifth running of the event. Registration closes on Fri, Sep 25 at 11:59 PM CT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
