Falling Leaves 8 miler and 5K

The Falling Leaves event takes place October 25, 2026 at Secor Metropark near Berkey, Ohio. Two trail races are offered with limited entry to 250 participants. Organizers note a t-shirt guarantee for registrations received by October 12.

The 8 mile course starts adjacent to the Secor Room at Secor Metropark, follows the all-purpose trail counter-clockwise, connects to the Moseley Trail, proceeds to Wiregrass Lake, does a loop around the lake, and returns on the Moseley and all-purpose trails to the Secor Room finish. The 5K follows one loop of the long version of the Secor all-purpose trail. Both courses are described as flat and non-technical. Walkers are welcome in the 5K.

Logistics include registration open beginning January 26, 2026 and closing October 25, 2026, with fees listed for each race ($45 for the 8 mile, $35 for the 5K). Packet pick-up is scheduled the Thursday before the race at Second Sole and on race day at the Secor Center; early packet pick-up entrants are eligible for a raffle. Medals are provided to all finishers. Awards are given to top male and female overall, masters, and grand masters in each distance. The event is part of the Toledo Roadrunners Club Trail Series presented with Metroparks Toledo and sponsored by Second Sole. Organizers plan a reusable cup program using Hydrapak cups distributed at packet pickup and various raffles for Second Sole gift certificates. A $5 club member discount is applied at final checkout.
