Course and Terrain

The Export 100 Trail Run is a 104-mile out-and-back course in western Pennsylvania, with 7,392 feet of elevation gain. The route uses multiple trails, including the Westmoreland Heritage Trail, the West Penn Trail, and paths through the Morosini Reserve, Duff Park, and Pleasant Valley Park. The event takes place in October.

Event Details

The event has a 32-hour time limit. Pacers are allowed for participants after the 62-mile point. All profits from the event go to benefit the local trail community.

Aid stations are placed along the course. Most are designated as "full" stations, stocked with hot food, Tailwind electrolyte drink, and typical ultra-running snacks; others provide water only. Most stations have heated bathrooms with running water available for runners and crew.

The course is described as accessible for spectators, as a majority of the route allows family and friends to see runners. The main trails are open to the public and can have bicycle traffic, while the sections through Morosini Reserve, Duff Park, and Pleasant Valley Park are for runners only.
