Export 100 Trail Run
The Export 100 Trail Run is a 104-mile out and back trail race in Export, PA, held in early October. The course records 7,392 feet of elevation gain and follows long sections of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail, plus singletrack through the Morosini Reserve, Duff Park and Pleasant Valley Park.
The event uses public multiuse trails and park routes during the changing October colors. Bicycles may use the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail sections, which are open to the public; the singletrack sections in Morosini Reserve, Duff Park and Pleasant Valley Park are runnable only. Pacers are permitted after Mile 62 for the remainder of the race. The overall event has a 32 hour cut-off and additional intermediate cut-off points at Mile 62.35, Mile 83.17 and Mile 103.77.
Aid stations are positioned along the course and are described with mile markers, crew access and bathroom availability. Most listed bathrooms are heated and have running water for runner and crew use, except at Newport Road and Rangos. Aid stations are planned to be stocked with hot food, Tailwind electrolyte and typical ultra-style snacks, except those noted as water only. The course is described as broadly accessible; family and friends can view runners along a majority of the route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
