Export 100 Trail Run
The Export 100 Trail Run is a 104 mile out and back trail event with 7,392 ft of elevation gain. The route follows sections of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail and also passes through Morosini Reserve, Duff Park and Pleasant Valley Park during October foliage. The event donates 100 percent of profits to the local trail community and uses a 32 hour cut off.
The course mixes wide multiuse trails and single track. Large sections on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail and the West Penn Trail are open to the public and may include bicycle traffic. The single backcountry trails in Morosini Reserve, Duff Park and Pleasant Valley Park are runnable only. The route is generally accessible for family and friends and allows good visibility of runners on many stretches.
Aid stations are positioned at multiple mile markers along the route. Most stations are heated and have running water for runners and crews except for Newport Road and Rangos as noted. Aid stations listed as full service provide hot food, Tailwind electrolyte and standard ultra snacks; those noted with water provide water only. Crew access varies by station. Pacers may join runners after Mile 62 for the remainder of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
