Event overview
The Enchanted Forest Ultra Run is a trail ultramarathon held at Roosevelt Forest, 700 Peters Lane, Stratford, CT. The event is offered as a 6-hour format and as a 50K distance. Field size is limited to 50 participants. Registration is final; there are no refunds, bib transfers, or deferrals. CDC, state, and town requirements are applied. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have a parental or guardian signed waiver.
Course, rules and facilities
The course is an irregular loop of 2.3 miles with about 191 feet of elevation gain per loop. Trails include single and double track with roots, rocks, and rolling hills. Course markings use signs and flags. Hiking poles and ear buds are permitted. Dogs are not allowed in the race; a leash policy applies throughout the forest. Parking is limited; larger vehicles should use a side lot and RVs are not permitted.
Hydration and food options are provided during the event, and pizza and non-alcoholic beer from a sponsor are available. Race entries include swag; additional items and race t-shirts are available for purchase. Podium awards are given for the most miles achieved, first through fifth overall, and an event medal is given to participants who run for more than four hours.
