Duluth Trails Festival
Duluth Trails Festival is a three-day multi-discipline event in Duluth, Minnesota, held from August 7 to August 9, 2026, at 8551 Grand Avenue. The program groups mountain bike competitions, trail running races, skills clinics, and skill-focused events in a single race village.
Mountain bike competitions include staged enduro races at several skill levels (Beginner Enduro 2 stages, Intermediate Enduro 4 stages, Advanced Enduro 7 stages), multiple downhill formats, timed cross-country courses, and specialty events such as a Chainless Downhill and a Whip-Off jam session. The Chainless Downhill requires riders to generate and carry speed without pedaling; costume participation is encouraged and quick-link tools are available. The Advanced Downhill course includes jumps, rock gardens, optional gap B-lines, a feature called "The Terrarium" with a 5-foot drop, and a fully rollable 3,500-foot track; full face helmets are required.
Cross-country events include the Partial Exposure (about 14 miles singletrack, roughly 1,800 feet elevation) and the Northern Exposure (just over 27 miles, nearly 20 miles singletrack, about 2,600 feet climbing).
Trail running events under the Summit North series offer multiple distances and formats.
Other offerings include a hands-on SRAM/ RockShox suspension tuning clinic that covers fundamentals, sag setup, and on-trail rebound tuning. Registration opens April 10, 2026; entry fees vary by event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
