Promutuel Insurance Lévis Half-Marathon
The Promutuel Insurance Lévis Half-Marathon is an athletic event held on the south shore of Quebec City. The race is known for its fast, downhill course that attracts thousands of participants. The 5 km, 10 km, and 21.1 km routes are measured to international standards and certified by Athletics Canada. The event also holds a GOLD sanction from Athlétisme Québec.
Available race distances include:
- 21.1 km (Half-marathon)
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km (Kids race for ages 5 to 12)
The half-marathon starts at Galeries Chagnon and covers 4 km through residential streets before joining the Parcours des Anses. This 14 km section follows a bike path along the river, providing views of the St. Lawrence River and Quebec City. All races finish at Juvénat Notre-Dame in Saint-Romuald. The time limit for the half-marathon distance is 4 hours.
Because the courses are officially certified, performances in the 21.1 km race are accepted as qualifying times for major international events such as the New York Marathon. The event has received professional recognition for organizational excellence in the road race category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
