DSpring Fling 5km

The DSpring Fling 5km is a running event organized by the Steel City Athletic Club. The race takes place in Hamilton, Ontario, utilizing a course that follows the Hamilton waterfront trail and Bayfront Park. The route is characterized as flat, fast, and completely free of vehicle traffic.

The event offers the following distance:

Participants are monitored using chip timing to provide accurate results. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from 14 and under to 70 plus.

The race provides several amenities, including a custom finishers medal and hot food served after the run. Photographs of all participants are taken during the event and made available for digital download afterward. Runners who register before December 1st receive a hooded sweat top, while other participants have the option to purchase a short sleeve shirt. The event also facilitates fundraising for the Steel City Athletic Club's youth program, which supports local sports initiatives for children.
