Sulphur Springs Trail Race 2026

Sulphur Springs Trail Race takes place May 23 and 24, 2026 at Morgan Firestone Arena and within the Dundas Valley Conservation Area in Ancaster, Ontario. The event uses a 20 km loop that gains over 500 m / 1500 ft of elevation per loop on mostly double track trails through a Carolinian forest.

Offered distances and formats include:

  • 100 Mile 8 x 20K laps (160 km / 100 miles)
  • 100K 5 x 20K laps
  • 50 Mile 4 x 20K laps
  • 50K one 10K plus two 20K laps
  • 20K
  • 10K
  • 100 Mile team relay up to 8 runners
  • 50 Mile night relay teams of 2 to 4 runners

The course features four aid stations stocked with water and Skratch Labs hydration. Long distance aid stations provide food throughout day and night, including hot soup, boiled potatoes, fruit and snacks. The event is cup free so participants must bring their own container. Port a potties are located at each aid station and at the start/finish area. Poles are permitted for 50 mile distances and longer. GPX files and a Runner's Guide are available for maps and rules. The race is managed by Burlington Runners, is Athletics Ontario sanctioned, and serves as a Western States qualifying race with stated finish guidelines for WSER ballot eligibility.
