The course is mostly fast, groomed trails with some short technical sections. The 10 km is an out and back to the waterfall and includes a descent to the base of the falls where runners pick up a small pin. The 25 km continues on the Beaver Dam Trail with a mix of single track and double track and additional technical parts. The 50 km is the 25 km loop run twice; a nine hour cutoff applies and runners likely to take more than eight hours are advised to carry a light source.

Between about 8 km and 16 km the route leaves Hilton Falls and uses Halton Region trails; participants in the 25 km and 50 km must sign an additional waiver provided at race kit pick-up.

Planned aid stations differ by distance. Examples include a drinks and s'mores station at 5 km for the 10 km, full stations at 8 km and 17 km for the 25 km, and the same stations repeated for the 50 km plus an aid point at the 25 km start/finish. Typical supplies are water, electrolyte drink, PB&J and sweet and salty snacks. All events are cup-less so participants must bring a collapsible cup or bottle.
