The Beav Trail Race 2026

The Beav Trail Race takes place on November 7, 2026 at Hilton Falls Conservation Area in Milton, Ontario. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and offers multiple trail race distances.

The course is mainly fast, groomed trails with short sections of tougher, technical terrain. The 25 km loop leaves Hilton Falls and uses Halton Region trails, including the Britton Tract and Robertson Tract, roughly from 8 km to 16 km. The route mixes single track and double track with additional technical sections.

Distances offered:

  • 10 km
  • 25 km
  • 50 km

The 10 km is an out-and-back around the reservoir with a section over the Bruce Trail and a descent to the base of the waterfall where runners collect a small pin. The 25 km continues beyond the 10 km along the Beaver Dam Trail. The 50 km is two laps of the 25 km route and has a 9 hour cutoff; participants planning to take more than 8 hours are advised to carry a headlamp.

Planned aid stations vary by distance and include water, electrolyte drink, PB & J and sweet and salty snacks; the event is cupless so runners should bring a collapsible cup or bottle. Pacers are not permitted except for participants over age 65. Registration for 25 km and 50 km includes a custom hoodie; 10 km entrants receive a T-shirt with an upgrade option. Finishers receive a custom medal and prizes are awarded to the top three in each distance.

The event partners with La Sportiva, which will bring a demo shoe fleet and offer two pairs as giveaways. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
