The Beav Trail Race 2026

The Beav Trail Race takes place at Hilton Falls Conservation Area in Milton, Ontario. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and supports MedVents, which provides first aid coverage. The course is mostly fast, groomed trails with some short, tougher technical sections and a mix of single track and double track on parts of the route. The 25 km loop leaves Hilton Falls and uses Halton Region trails for approximately 8 km to 16 km; 25 km and 50 km participants must sign an additional waiver at race kit pick-up.

Distances offered:

  • 10 km out-and-back around the reservoir and to the waterfall
  • 25 km loop including the Beaver Dam Trail and varied single/double track
  • 50 km two loops of the 25 km course

Aid stations are planned by distance: the 10 km has a drink and s'mores station at 5 km; the 25 km has stations at about 5 km, 8 km, 17 km and 20 km; the 50 km follows the 25 km plan with an extra station at 25 km. Typical items include water, electrolyte drink, PB&J, and sweet and salty snacks. The event is cup-less so runners must carry a collapsible cup or bottle. Apparel and awards: 25 km and 50 km entries include a custom hoodie, 10 km entries include a t-shirt with an upgrade option; finishers receive a custom medal and prizes go to the top three in each distance. Pacers are not permitted except for participants over 65. The 50 km has a 9 hour cutoff. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
