The Lost Valley Trail Race
Event overview
The Lost Valley Trail Race is a point-to-point trail race along the Iroquoia Section of the Bruce Trail. The finish area and participant parking are at Dundas Valley Conservation Area, Governors Road, Dundas, Ontario. Participants travel from the finish to the start by event bus or arrange their own drop-off. The Main Trail is permanently marked with white blazes; only the first 250 m, last 250 m, and the 2.5 km street section in Dundas will have additional flags. The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario.

Course details and services
The 25 km course starts near Burlington and follows rolling single-track along the Niagara Escarpment, passing Smokey Hollow, Grindstone Creek, rocky sections, a tunnel under Hwy 6, Borer's Falls, and a steep descent by Sydenham Hill before finishing at Stacey Meadow Pavilion. The course has roughly 600 m of elevation gain and 720 m of elevation loss. There are three aid stations at about 7.5 km, 15 km, and 20 km. Parking fees for participants are included in the registration.
The 10 km course begins nearer Dundas, includes about 2 km of relatively flat trail, the same 2.5 km road section by Sydenham Hill, and the single-track finish through McCormack Trail to Stacey Meadow Pavilion. The 10 km course is about 75 percent trail and 25 percent road, with approximately 185 m gain and 265 m loss. There is one aid station around 5 km. The race is cup-less, so runners must bring a collapsible cup or bottle. Poles are permitted. Race registration includes specified swag items and a portion of each registration fee is donated to the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club.
