Course and features
The route runs mostly on dirt trails within Kiwanis Park. The 5 KM is one loop with an out-and-back section; the 10 KM is two loops of the 5 KM route. Each kilometre is marked. The 5 KM includes one water station; the 10 KM includes three water stations. Distances are certified and the course is subject to change pending official approval or construction.
Rules and logistics
Participants must keep to the right on trail sections. A time limit is applied at 10 minutes per kilometre; starting at the halfway mark, a participant who fails to reach a kilometre marker within the calculated time may be required to continue without race support. Parking is available on the park grounds. Animals are allowed in the park but not on the run/walk course.
Registration, children and race-day services
Children 12 and under receive a discount on entry fees (10% on the 5 KM, 20% on the 10 KM). A free Kids 200 m run is offered for ages 7 and under; those children must be registered in the 5 KM event. Strollers and their occupants are free but must be registered and accompanied by a participant in a different sub-event. The first 700 entrants receive a technical t-shirt; all finishers receive a finisher medal. Post-race refreshments and musical entertainment are included with entry; food trucks will be on site for additional purchases.
