Kitchener Kids with Cancer 2026 is a fundraising run scheduled for September 19, 2026, at Kiwanis Park, 1000 Kiwanis Park Drive, Kitchener, Ontario. The event marks its 13th anniversary and supports the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario. Distances offered include:
- 5 KM Run / Walk
- 10 KM Run
The event is part of Run Waterloo’s Run Love series. Entry options include a timed 5 KM and 10 KM, an untimed 5 KM walk, a free stroller occupant registration, and a free Kids 200 m run for children age 7 and under (children must be registered in the 5 KM event). Children 12 and under receive discounted entry rates on the 5 KM and 10 KM.
Course, logistics and rules
Both distances start and finish in Kiwanis Park. The 5 KM route is a single loop with an out-and-back section; the 10 KM consists of two loops of the 5 KM route. The course runs mostly on dirt trails within the park, is certified, and is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Each kilometer is marked. Water stations are provided - one on the 5 KM and three on the 10 KM. Runners must keep to the right on trail sections. Vehicles may park on park grounds; animals are allowed in the park but not on the run/walk course.
Registration entries are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-deferrable. The first 700 registrants receive a technical t-shirt; all finishers receive a finisher medal. Fundraising prizes and a 50/50 draw are part of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
