Course, services and rules

The course follows the Hamilton-to-Brantford rail trail. Organizers describe the route as close to flat, wide, groomed, and accessible, with kilometer markers on much of the route. All races use out-and-back formats and the final 7.5 km of the 25 km and 50 km courses has a slight downhill grade. Aid stations or water drops are placed every 5 to 8 km and provide water, electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and simple food items like PB and J. The event is cup-less, so participants must carry a collapsible cup or bottles. Drop bags are allowed at the start/finish area of each loop. Pacers are generally not permitted; exceptions may be made for safety or medical reasons for the second half of the race. Parking is in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area lot. Participant registration includes park entrance for runners; crew and spectators pay the park entrance fee at the gate. Race services include a shirt option, a finisher medal, chip timing, and event photos. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
