Race format and rules
The 25K RUCK follows the same course as the 25K. Ruck participants must carry a minimum of 20 pounds, not including food and water; packs will be weighed at the start. All finishers receive a finisher's medal for the ruck 25K.
There is an overall race cutoff of about nine hours. For 50K entrants, the cutoff for the first loop is around four hours.
Logistics and services
Packet pickup is Friday, March 27 at Des Peres Fleet Feet from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Race day pickup begins at the park entrance at 7:00 am. The start area is near the park entry gate.
Aid stations are provided at approximately 3.5M, 8M, 12.5M, 16M, 19.5M, 24M and 28.5M and will offer standard ultra food and fluids (bananas, pretzels, potatoes, chips, water, electrolytes). This is a cup-free race; participants should bring a water bottle or hydration pack.
There are no refunds. Entrants may drop from the 50K to the 25K up to one week before race day; later drops or on-race-day drops are allowed but are not eligible for awards. Bib transfers are allowed until 4/10/2025 and must be completed by both parties via UltraSignup. Drop bags are collected at a tarp near the park entrance and moved to the finish; unclaimed items will be donated. SLUG members receive a $10 registration discount. Registration closes March 26.
