Doomsday is a two-distance endurance event in Cool, California, offering a 50K and a Half Marathon on a beautifully scenic, backcountry-style course. The 50K features about 5,100 feet of elevation change with a 9.5-hour cutoff, while the Half Marathon covers roughly 1,250 feet of gain/loss and a 5-hour cutoff. Hikers and back-of-pack runners are welcome, with trekking poles allowed.

Start is at the Cool Staging Area (7200 Saint Florian Court, Cool, CA 95614). Expect a supportive, adventurous atmosphere with planned surprises along the route. Finisher rewards include a weighted medal and race shirt; top finishers receive custom three-dimensional trophies.
