The Doomsday event is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Cool, California (Cool Staging Area / 7200 Saint Florian Court). The event offers the following distances:

- Half Marathon
The field is limited to 200 runners total. Live tracking and real-time race results are provided by UltraLive.net for each distance.
Logistics and course
The 50K course has about 5,100 feet of elevation gain and loss. The Half Marathon course has about 1,250 feet of elevation gain and loss. Cutoff times are 9.5 hours for the 50K and 5 hours for the Half Marathon. Trekking poles are allowed and each course is described as hiker and back-of-the-pack friendly.
Packet pick-up is available the day before at Auburn CrossFit (890 High Street, Auburn, CA) and on race morning at the race start location. Parking fees are not included in registration; participants must display a Golden Poppy Pass or purchase a day use pass for $10 (exact cash). Volunteers will direct parking to the Day Use Lot or overflow on Haul Road.
Aid stations on the 50K occur at miles 8.88, 13.9, 20.9, 23.1, and 27.9; the Half Marathon has an aid station at mile 8.88. All finishers receive a race shirt and a finisher's medallion.
