Dodge the Deer 5K : Schodack Island State Park
Dodge the Deer 5K is a family-oriented running event held Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Schodack Island State Park in Castleton, NY. The event includes a main 5K race plus two short children’s races. After the races there will be music, food, and a casual atmosphere for participants and spectators.
The entry fee schedule is published for different registration periods: $20 through April, $23 in May, $27 in June up to the event date, and $30 on race day. Albany Running Exchange members save an extra $5; an example given is that an ARE member registering before May would pay $15. The base entry fee does not include merchandise, but participants may optionally purchase commemorative socks for $12.
Registration is time sensitive. Pending registrations and payments must be completed before the stated deadline or they will not be registered.
