Course and logistics
The course runs along Pennypack Creek inside Pennypack Park and is laid out as a figure 8. Each loop includes mostly single-track trail, some wider flat gravel, occasional soft or sandy spots along the creek, and about one mile of paved bike trail. The course has some short climbs and is reported to be mostly shaded. One loop measures 25K.
A time limit for the 50-mile distance is 12 hours and 30 minutes. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the race for reasons outside their control.
Entry, refunds and awards
Entry fees vary by distance and registration period. Example fees: 25K $69 (until 12/31/25), $75 (until 4/7/26), $79 after; 50K $79/$85/$89; 50M $89/$95/$99. Refunds are available until 30 days before race day; refunds require a stamped self-addressed envelope and are issued minus $10. After that there are no refunds or deferrals.
Every runner receives a full zippered running jacket, commemorative bib and finisher medal; ultra finishers receive a specific hat. Overall male and female winners receive an authentic German cuckoo clock. Top 3 awards are given in standard age groups and the age-group trophies are German weather houses.
