Surfaces include soft and occasional sandy sections, smooth single track, wider flat gravel trail, and about one mile of paved bike trail per loop. Elevation changes are present but climbs are short.

Time limit for the 50M is 12 hours and 30 minutes. The event provides a full zippered running jacket, commemorative bib, finisher medal, and a hat for ultra finishers. Overall winners and age-group top finishers receive awards. Post-race food is provided by two professional chefs and there is live accordion entertainment.
