Dirty Feet Trail Run : Race 1

The event takes place in the Lac Du Bois Grasslands area in Kamloops, British Columbia, on April 12, 2026. Three distances are offered:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km
  • 21 km

Routes run through grasslands with desert-like terrain, providing views of the Thompson River valley and the city of Kamloops. Trails include single-track sections among sagebrush and some rocky stretches. Wildlife such as birds and deer may be seen along the course. Participants are advised to stay on marked trails to avoid cactus off the route. The courses are marked with Dirty Feet flags and course maps are provided.

There is no parking at the event site. Participants must use designated shuttle pick-up locations on Windsor Avenue or near 8th Street North in Kamloops; shuttles transport runners to the start and return them to their vehicles after the race. Registration is limited to 350 runners due to shuttle and parking capacity.

Aid stations differ by distance: the 5 km has no on-course aid stations though the start/finish area is stocked; the 10 km has one aid station; the 21 km has two. Aid stations and the start/finish area offer water, electrolyte drink, chocolate, jelly beans, chips and a selection of sweet and salty snacks. Dirty Feet merchandise will be available for purchase on site and payment by cash, debit, or credit is accepted. Optional participant medals can be pre-purchased or bought on race day. There are no refunds; registrations may be transferred to another 2026 event if requested at least two weeks before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
