Event summary

Dirty Feet Beat The Buzzer is a backyard ultra held at Stake Lake (Overlander Ski Trails, Stake Lake, BC). The event uses a looped trail of about 6–6.5 km with a mixture of single track, double track, uphill and downhill sections, and rocky and sandy terrain. The event raises funds for the Kamloops Food Bank. HOKA is listed as a presenting sponsor and will provide demo shoes on course.

Format and logistics

Runners compete solo or as teams of two. Each hour the loop restarts; runners must complete the loop in under one hour to begin the next loop. Teams are limited to 24 hours; solo competitors can continue until only one runner remains and a final cash prize of $200 is awarded to the last solo runner. Custom belt buckles are awarded to solo runners who reach 100 km and to teams that reach 24 hours. Light food is available at the start/finish area, but participants are expected to carry their own water and food; night racers will have access to hot food and drinks. Race packages are picked up at the Stake Lake start/finish area on race morning. Online registration closes on June 12.
