The course uses single-track and double-track trails with hills and some technical rock and root sections. The main staging area and headquarters are at the parking lot, providing drop-bag access and frequent aid stations along the course.

Race rules and mandatory items include carrying at least 500 ml of electrolytes with capacity for 1 L of liquids, a light jacket or long sleeve after 6 pm, and headlamps (headlamps mandatory from 6 pm; two headlamps required for the night 25 km).
