The Dirty Feet Heartbreak trail event takes place at Stake Lake Nordic Centre, south of Kamloops on Lac Le Jeune Road, on August 15, 2026. Distances offered include:
- 100 km (solo or relay up to 6 people)
- 50 km (solo or relay)
- 25 km
- 25 km night race
Race swag and finish awards are listed for participants: custom Dirty Feet items, a half-pound of Shuswap Coffee, custom bibs (for early registrants), finisher medals for 25 km, 50 km and relay finishers, and a belt buckle for solo 100 km finishers. Race package pickup is available in Kamloops before the event and at the venue on race day.
Course, logistics and rules
The course uses single-track and double-track trails with hills, rocks, roots and some technical rock sections. The 100 km route is composed of eight legs; the leg distances include two 10 km legs repeated and four 15 km legs (the 50 km course is the first four legs run continuously). Approximate elevation gain is 2000 m for the 100 km and 1000 m for the 50 km. The main staging area and aid station headquarters are at the Stake Lake parking lot; drop bags are available there and crews may access only the start/finish headquarters. Aid stations are placed at multiple points along each course and runners must carry personal fuel. Headlamps are mandatory after 6pm and two headlamps are required for the 25 km night race.
