Event Overview

Dirty 30 Sweaty 60 is a trail running event held on 14 February 2026 at Camp Barrabadeen, Tinaroo, on the Barrabadeen Peninsula near Tinaroo Dam. It is an adventure run on a loop course with a mix of dirt, water and single track, including several man-made and natural obstacles.

Participants run laps of a single loop of about 1.5 km, completing as many laps as possible within a set time. Results count only laps finished within the time limit.

Entry is online only. Numbers are limited. For 2026, dinner is not included in the entry fee, and prices are:

  • Grubs (12 and under) - free
  • Juniors (13-17) - 10 AUD
  • Open (18+) - 10 AUD

Entrants under 12 must run with an accompanying adult or older sibling.

Race Format and Course

There are two timed options:

  • Dirty 30 - final lap must be completed within 30 minutes
  • Sweaty 60 - finish within 60 minutes

Starts are likely to be in waves or staggered, to reduce bottlenecks at obstacles.

The loop includes features listed as:

  • 100 m wade
  • Hay bales
  • Gate crawl
  • Nuisance Hill
  • Rip Roaring Downhill
  • Beach run
  • Sweet flowing single track
  • Boulder hop
  • Monkey bars
  • Slip 'n' slide

Facilities, Camping and Logistics

The event starts and finishes within the Barrabadeen camping area near Tinaroo Dam. Facilities on site are limited, and there is a large dam nearby for cooling off after the run. Carpooling is recommended because parking at Race HQ is limited.

Participants are asked to bring their own cups or drinking devices, running gear, clean dry clothes, and plates and cutlery. Water in drums is supplied on site.

Camping at Barrabadeen is available on the Saturday night, with the venue booked out for the event. Bookings are arranged directly with the campsite caretaker, who allocates sites and manages payment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
