Dinton 5km & 10km Summer Series

Barnes Fitness runs a four-event summer series at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst, Wokingham. The series runs across May to August and 2026 marks the 15th year of the event. Races take place around an off-road, traffic-free route near Reading that is described as very flat.

Distances offered:

  • 2 km kids race, out-and-back course, children remain in sight of marshals
  • 5 km, one lap of the course
  • 10 km, two laps of the course

The kids race is held shortly before the adult races and is open to children aged 4 to 14. Series entry covers multiple race dates and can be more economical than single entries; adults who enter the full series before 10 April may receive a free pair of socks.

Event services and standards include chip timing with instant results, well signed and marshalled routing, metal finisher medals, podium and age-group awards, on-site first aid and safeguarding, free event photos after the race, and fruit available at the finish. A flat rate parking fee of £5 is available to pre-book and covers one vehicle. Entry fees range from £8 to £26 depending on distance and category.
