The Dimple Dell Half Marathon takes place on trails in Dimple Dell canyon, located in the heart of Sandy City. The course starts and finishes at Lone Peak Park and follows rolling trails with a few climbs, fall colors, and mountain vistas.

The event distance is Half Marathon. The course is well marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. Packet pickup is available Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Salt Lake Running Company, 8946 S State St, Sandy, UT 84070; race day packet pickup begins at 5:45 am. Registration tiers noted for the event include Early, Normal, and Late pricing; late registration begins in mid-September and closes the evening before the race. Same day registration is not available.

Race services include locally made finisher and age medals, a quality race shirt, live results, free race photos provided without watermarks, and well stocked aid stations offering Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger products, fruit, and snacks. Post-race breakfast features offerings from Great Harvest Bread such as cinnamon rolls, muffins, and pumpkin chocolate chip bread, plus beverages and bananas.

Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to age division top three places by age groups including under 20, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus. Free parking is available near the park with additional parking lots nearby. Volunteers receive a credit toward a future event and access to finish line food.
