Course
The race distance is 13.0 miles with a total elevation gain of +1,176 ft. The course is about 95% trail and 5% paved, using wood-chipped and single-track trails through Dimple Dell canyon. Key features described include a drop from Lone Peak Park onto a wood-chipped trail, bridges, a tunnel, Wrangler Aid Station, canyon-floor running, a major climb to the Rim Trail, and a turnaround at Granite Park Aid Station. Aid stations and services
Aid stations are stocked with Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger gels/waffles, fruit, and assorted snacks. Bathrooms are noted at several aid points. The race provides free race photos hosted by Xotio Media (bib recognition, no watermark), live results, and post-race food from Great Harvest Bread including cinnamon rolls, muffins, and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. There is no cutoff time for the half marathon.
Logistics and awards
Packet pickup is available Friday at the Salt Lake Running Store and on race day. Free parking is available at the park (about 50 spaces) plus three additional lots of roughly 150 spaces each. Finishers receive a race shirt and a locally made finisher medal. Overall 1st–3rd and age-division awards are given for specified age groups.
