About the race
Dimple Dell Half Marathon takes place in Dimple Dell, in the heart of Sandy City, with the start and finish at Lone Peak Park. The route runs on canyon trails with scenic fall colors and mountain vistas. The course is rolling with a few climbs and is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. Registration includes a clearly marked course, a locally made finisher medal and age-group medals, a running shirt, free race photos, well stocked aid stations, and live results.
Packet pickup is held Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Salt Lake Running Store (8946 S State St, Sandy, UT 84070) and on race day beginning at 6:00 am. Late registration opens September 16 and closes October 15 at 11:59 pm; same day registration is not available and registration closes Friday night at 11:59 pm. Post-race food includes freshly baked cinnamon rolls and pumpkin chocolate chip bread, plus chocolate milk, orange juice, and bananas. Awards for overall men and women receive custom locally made plaques for places one through three, and Salt Lake Running Company provides gift cards to overall winners.
Age-division medals are awarded for first through third in age groups such as 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Free photos are provided by Xotio Media with bib recognition and no watermark. Aid stations offer water, Gatorade, Honey Stinger products, fruit, and snacks.
Free parking is available at Lone Peak Park with about 50 spaces in the corner lot and additional parking in three other lots. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
