Dimple Dell Half Marathon

Dimple Dell is a trail half marathon held in Sandy City with the start and finish at Lone Peak Park. The course runs through canyon trails along the Wasatch Front, with rolling terrain and a few climbs, and offers fall color and mountain vistas.

Registration includes a well marked course, a locally made finisher medal, a race shirt, free race photos without a watermark, live results, and a post-race breakfast from Great Harvest Bread with cinnamon rolls, muffins, and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Aid stations are stocked with Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and occasional confectionary items.

Packet pickup is available Friday afternoon at the Salt Lake Running Store; race day pickup also occurs. Late registration begins September 10 and closes October 9 at 11:59 pm; same day registration is not available. Pricing tiers are listed for early, normal, and late registration.

Awards for the half marathon include overall male and female plaques for places one through three, with additional gift cards provided for first place by a local running store. Age-division medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in decade-based groups from 20-29 through 70+. Course navigation uses pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. Free parking is available in multiple park lots. Volunteers receive a credit for future races and access to finish area food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
