Dimple Dell Blitz Backyard

The event takes place at Dimple Dell Regional Park on a measured loop of 4.167 miles that begins at Wrangler Trailhead. The loop is primarily woodchipped trail with some single track, reported as 75 percent woodchip and 25 percent single track, and gains about +442 ft per loop. Trails are described as resistant to mud in wet or snowy conditions and offer views of the snow covered Wasatch Mountains.

This format combines a Backyard loop race with timed laps. Runners complete one loop each hour for a total of either 4, 8, or 12 hours. Loop credit requires finishing the loop within the hour. Placement is determined first by distance completed and then by cumulative time on all completed laps, with live results and individual lap times provided during the event.

Awards include a finisher medal for anyone completing at least one loop and a leather patch beanie for runners who complete 12 loops. Top three male and female placements are determined by distance then cumulative time for ties. Organizers provide on-course snacks, an aid station with Tailwind electrolyte drink, finish line food, and free photos hosted by the race photographer.

Capacity for each distance is capped at 60 runners. Organizers note available free parking, marked course navigation, and recommend that runners bring personal hydration and familiar nutrition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
