DFW Burning Soles Trail Series Race 5

This event is the fifth race in the DFW Burning Soles Trail Series, part of an eight week trail running series that runs June through August. The race is scheduled at Northshore Park MADD Shelter, 880 Simmons Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75022, and is one of weekly races held at the Northshore Trail MADD Shelter.

Races use well marked singletrack sections, following laps of Loop 5 with a short section of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround where a water cache is provided. All participants are chip timed. Runners receive a series bib at their first race and are expected to use that same bib for subsequent races.

Distances offered:

  • 5K
  • 10K

The series is organized in two rounds with rain dates allocated for each round. Race results include weekly podium recognition for the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, plus age group calls. At the end of the eight week series, final awards recognize the top three in each listed division.

Race distances are approximate and may vary based on trail conditions. There are no refunds for the series; transfers to alternate dates may be requested. In the event of cancellation due to weather or trail closures, registrations are credited to the next available week in the series. Trails used are on municipal or federal property and are maintained by the Dallas Off Road Bicycle Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting 28 trails and over 265 miles of singletrack.
