These races are part of the Desert Runner Trail Series, which uses a points system that runs from the start of the 2025 Fall races through the end of the 2026 Spring races. There are five series categories overall: Hummingbird, Quail, Roadrunner, Owl, and Hawk (Ultra). Points from both 50 mile and 50 km races count toward the ultra category, and the series counts a runner’s top three race scores if they enter more than three of the seven Desert Runner Trail Series races.
