Race Overview

The Desert Peak Ultra takes place near Oracle, Arizona, close to Tucson. The event offers three race options: 100K, 50K, and a Summit Challenge combining both distances over two days. The races are scheduled for April 11–12, 2026.

Courses

The course features a significant climb to the summit of Mount Lemmon, transitioning from desert terrain to pine forests at the top. Runners pass through the ski town of Summerhaven. Trails include smooth singletrack, steep ascents, and descents. The 100K route continues with open desert views and more singletrack after the initial summit. Final course details are pending permit approval.

Event Details

The start and finish location is Haycreek Ranch on S Mt Lemmon Rd in Oracle. Cutoff times are 24 hours for the 100K and 14 hours for the 50K. Aid stations provide gels, HYPERLYTE drink mix, real food, and water. Drop bags are allowed. Crew access is permitted for the 100K only. Medical support is available on call.

Festival Atmosphere
