The Deam Lake Winter Warrior is a trail running event taking place in November 2026 at Deam Lake in Borden, Indiana. It is the first race in a four-part Winter Warrior Series, which highlights different local parks.

Course & Location

The course follows the Yellow Trail loop around Deam Lake. The start and finish line is near the Buzzards Roost Shelter. Participants should note the trail is shared with horses.

Amenities & Logistics

All finishers receive an award. An optional event t-shirt can be added to registration for an additional fee; shirt pre-orders are encouraged as on-site availability is limited. The event is cupless, meaning participants must bring their own water bottle, hydration pack, or cup. An aid station will be available near the trailhead. On-site restrooms are located near the start line.

Parking is limited at the Buzzards Roost Shelter parking lot, with overflow parking available at a main lot. Carpooling and early arrival are strongly encouraged. A rugged point to point 50 mile trail race on Indiana’s Knobstone Trail with roughly 10,000 feet of elevation gain. The event is cupless, uses live GPS tracking, and enforces aid station check ins and elapsed time cutoffs.

The Backside Trail Marathon - Louisville, KY will take place in Brownsboro Village on Sunday 26 April 2026. You can run between 21 and 42 kilometers.
