Deam Lake Winter Warrior

This event is the Deam Lake stop in a Winter Warrior Series and features multiple race formats around Deam Lake using the Yellow Trail. It offers on-site and virtual participation and awards finishers and overall male and female winners.

Distances and formats include:

  • 4-Hour Endurance Run run the loop as many times as possible in four hours

The Start/Finish area and packet pick-up are located near the Buzzards Roost Shelter. On-site restrooms are available near the start. An aid station will be positioned near the trail head to support participants who complete multiple loops. The event is cupless; participants should bring a water bottle or hydration pack. Limited bottled water will be available and water plus prepackaged snacks will be provided after the race.

Shirts are an optional preorder add-on and a limited number may be available for sale on race day. All finishers receive a finishers award. Completing three of the four Winter Warrior Series races earns a Winter Warrior Medal and Shirt.

Parking at the Buzzards Roost Shelter lot is limited; overflow is at the main park lot and requires a hike to the shelter. Parking on grass or along the roadway is not permitted. Trail runs in Iroquois Park with 7 mile and 4 mile options as part of the Kentucky Cryptid Series. Complete three of four races in-person or virtually to earn a Cryptid Series survivor medal and shirt.
