Dead Last Ultra - Sutton, MA - October 24, 2026

Dead Last Ultra is a backyard ultramarathon held at Waters Farm in Sutton, Massachusetts. Runners repeat a single loop of 4.2 miles, and each loop must be completed within one hour. Finish a loop on time and a runner returns to the start for the next loop; fail to finish within the hour and the runner is out.

The event continues until only one runner completes a loop and remains on the line; that last runner is the sole finisher. The format can extend for many hours, potentially 24 to 48 hours or more. The field is capped at 150 runners.

The course is roughly half wooded trail with stretches along Lake Manchaug and half open farm pasture passing historic barns. Waters Farm is a 1757 hilltop homestead listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The weekend includes a community festival with an open 4.2 mile run, a kids fun run, live music, food trucks, and local vendors. Runners may set up a base camp and crew area; overnight camping is available for runners and crew.

Entry uses tiered pricing for the fixed field: the first 100 spots are priced lower than later spots, with later tiers at higher rates. Entries are nonrefundable; transfers are allowed under the event transfer policy. The organizers are pursuing sanctioning and qualifier status with relevant bodies.
