Federal Way, United States • 21 Mar 2026
Event details
Dash Point takes place on March 21, 2026, at Dash Point State Park in Federal Way, Washington (5700 SW Dash Point Rd). The event offers the following distances:
- 10K
- Half marathon (13.1 mi)
The park is described as a 398-acre camping park with about 3,300 feet of saltwater shoreline on Puget Sound. The start/finish area is adjacent to a long stretch of sandy beach and picnic/BBQ stations.
Course and logistics
Both distances are run on a single loop course. The 10K completes one loop; half-marathon entrants complete two loops, with a short extra lollipop section added to reach half distance. Trails wind through lush forest with thick ferns and moss-covered trees. Surfaces are non-technical, cushy singletrack, with a short section of stairs near the loop start and several bridges. Elevation gain is listed as approximately 800 ft for the 10K and 1,600 ft for the half. Aid stations are placed on course (10K: 1.75 miles; Half: 2.3, 6.8, 9.1 miles). Trails remain open to other users, including equestrians, pedestrians, and cyclists.
Parking requires a Washington Discover Pass. All 10K participants park at Lakota Middle School and are shuttled to the start/finish. The event is cupless; all runners must carry a refillable container. Online registration closes the Friday before the race; refunds are not issued, though deferral, transfer, or race-switch options are available with fees. Every finisher receives a handmade finisher item produced with solar power. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
