Darrington Single Track Trail Challenge
The event takes place at the Darrington Trail Head in the Folsom Lake area, Pilot Hill, CA. It offers multiple race distances on natural trails that run along the lake and through rolling terrain. The surface is primarily dirt and rocks on single-track trails with minimal pavement. Runners will encounter frequent ups and downs and scenic lake views.

Each distance has a published total ascent: 5K (449 ft), 10K (803 ft), 18M (2,342 ft), 36M (4,511 ft). Two fully stocked aid stations operate along the course, including a primary aid station at the start/finish area and an aid station at Peninsula Campground. All aid stations remain open until the last runner arrives; runners who do not meet course cutoffs may be transported back to the start. Drop bag service is available at the Peninsula Campground for the longer distances.
Event services include toilets (first-come first-served), commemorative medals for participants, volunteer photographers with photos posted online, and support-crew access at the trailhead and Peninsula Campground. Parking is available with a day-use fee; carpooling is encouraged. Weather is typical California fall with daytime highs around 65°F and lows near 40°F. Runners are advised that lights may be needed at the start and possibly at the end of the race. The event has an overall time limit of 10 hours.
