Da Deer Run Run is an 8K cross-country trail race at Timber Pointe Nature Center in Hudson, Illinois. In its fifth year, the course features two loops through Timber Pointe, using wide double-track trails with some gravel, and nods to sections of the Run the Wood Race in October with twists. The event runs in various weather conditions and offers wildlife viewing opportunities, including deer, wild turkeys, and possibly bald eagles. It is chip-timed by itsracetime, with post-race food at Stern Lodge near the start/finish. Partial proceeds benefit Timber Pointe Nature Center, and finishers receive Lake Run Club membership for the next year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
