Crow Pass Crossing

Girdwood, United States • 18 Jul 2026

Crow Pass Crossing is an iconic Alaskan backcountry footrace running about 23 miles from above Girdwood to the Eagle River Nature Center. The route, pared from 28 miles, offers a rugged, technical course with mountain and glacier views, snowfields, brush, and a crossing of the fast-flowing Eagle River. Runners face bears, moose, and other wildlife amid rocks and roots, with no course markers or aid stations. Hikers typically take two or more days, while the fastest racers finish in under three hours; finishing under six hours is highly regarded. Since 2018, it’s been a fundraiser for Healthy Futures.
