Cirque Series - Alyeska, AK
The Cirque Series race at Alyeska Resort on July 25, 2026 is a mountain trail event covering 6.1 miles with 3,912 feet of vertical gain. The course begins near sea level at the DayLodge area in Girdwood and follows Tanaka Cat Road into the lower bowl and onto the Silvertip single track before the ascent to Center Ridge. The route continues through Teacup Bowl to the Headwall at about 3,800 feet, then along a ridge with rolling sections and a gradual downgrade to roughly 3,300 feet at the MAX weather station. The descent moves through loose rock and mountain heather into Max’s Mountain trail, passing hemlock and spruce with moss covered fallen trees and loamy soil, and returns to Tanaka Cat Road and the DayLodge finish.
The race is organized into Sport, Expert and Pro divisions and is capped at 600 runners. Timing is provided using a disposable chip on the back of the bib. Hydration is available at one on-course aid station and at the finish. Prizes and awards are distributed by division and include cash for Pro places and gear for Expert and Sport places; additional recognitions include masters, youth, Grom, OG, Lexie and Middle of the Pack awards. Every competitor receives a snapback, giveaway ticket, logoed bib and medal, a sponsor swag bag and professional photos.
Safety notes: the route is steep and technical in sections, the course will be flagged, and competitors must inspect Center Ridge before race day. A strict cut off of 50 minutes applies at the start of Center Ridge. Organizers may adjust, reroute or cancel the event for safety reasons.
