Event overview

The Crocodile Challenge is a timed, six-hour event at Ryton Pools Country Park on 23 January 2026. The format lets participants complete as many laps as they wish within a six-hour time limit. Canicross entries are available and dogs are permitted on short leads; canicross entrants should use the canicross-specific entry. Rucking is also allowed under the event rules. The organiser donates 7.5% of entry fees to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and has reserved a limited number of places for fundraisers. Entry prices are tiered: before 23/12/2025 the fee is £37, from 23/12/2025 it is £42; unaffiliated entrants pay an extra £2. A medal or an alternative Big Bear Tree Token (which funds tree planting and contains wildflower seeds) is provided.
