Corral Canyon Trail Scramble
The Corral Canyon Trail Scramble takes place in the Cleveland National Forest, California. The event is staged at the Corral Canyon Campground, which is situated within an Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) area. The terrain across all distances features a mix of single track trails, jeeping trails, rocky sections, and segments of fire road.
Participants can choose from four different distances:
- 5 Miler (approximately 8 km)
- 9 Miler (approximately 14.5 km)
- 14 Miler (approximately 22.5 km)
- 50 km
The 5 Miler includes a scramble over large rocks for nearly a mile before transitioning into technical downhill trails and smooth jeep paths. The 9 Miler utilizes forest access roads and OHV trails, incorporating rocky obstacles and single track sections. The 14 Miler combines the 9 Miler course with the 5 Miler scramble loop. The 50 km distance consists of a 14 mile loop followed by a 9 mile loop, concluding with the 5 mile scramble loop.
Aid stations are located along the courses. For the 50 km participants, the route returns through the main camp twice, providing access to aid and personal drop bags. Entry fees include a technical t-shirt and a medal. Vehicles parked at the site require a forestry access pass, and carpooling is recommended due to limited parking space. The event does not permit dogs or strollers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
