The 12th Colworth Hare and Tortoise Run takes place on 30 November 2025 at Colworth House Sports and Social Club, Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire MK44 1LB. The event is organised around the Colworth Estate and covers 26.3 miles run as five laps on gently undulating trail and unclassified road. The route includes some woodland paths with uneven surfaces and roots, and some narrow sections.

Entries and eligibility

Entries open 29 July 2025 and close 28 November 2025. Entry fees are: Individual £23 (affiliated) or £25 (unaffiliated); Team of 5 £50 per team. Entries are managed through SiEntries and require logging in or registering. There are 17 entries so far. Solo runners must be aged 18 or over on the event date. Teams are limited to a maximum of 15 teams and team members must be over 15 years of age.

Course and facilities

Checkpoints on each lap provide water, flat Coke and individually wrapped snacks; additional drinks are available at the half-lap point. Facilities include toilets, car parking, and teas and coffee. The event is cup-free, so participants should bring their own bottle, mug or hydration bladder. The organiser may provide baggage storage, changing rooms, showers and hot food at the finish depending on Covid restrictions. Dogs are allowed with responsible owners. Experience the Petzl Night Trails 10K at Salcey Forest under torchlight. Tackle a two lap trail, bring a head torch, enjoy Petzl demos, canicross starts and post race hot drinks plus a medal or tree token.
