Event details

The 12th Colworth Hare and Tortoise Run takes place on 30 November 2025 at Colworth House Sports and Social Club, Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, MK44 1LB. The event is a 26.3 miles race run over five laps. It is open to individual runners and teams. Entries open 29 July 2025 and close 28 November 2025. Individual entry fees are £23 (affiliated) and £25 (unaffiliated). A team of five is £50 per team. Solo runners must be aged 18 or over on the event date. Team runners must be over 15 years of age. A maximum of 15 teams is allowed.

Course and facilities

The route circles the Colworth Estate in North Bedfordshire on gently undulating trail and unclassified road. Some sections use woodland paths with uneven surfaces and roots, and some paths are narrow, which is the reason for a limit on entries. There is a checkpoint every lap supplying water, flat Coke and individually wrapped snacks, with additional drinks at a half-lap point. The event is cup-free, so participants should bring their own bottle, mug or hydration bladder. Facilities listed include toilets, car parking and hot drinks. Baggage storage may be provided (no liability accepted), and changing rooms, showers and hot food at the finish are subject to Covid restrictions in place at the time.
