Colorado Cold Rush Ultra, Colorado Springs (November 21, 2026)
Colorado Cold Rush Ultra is a late-November trail event in Colorado Springs that offers three course options and runs on dirt trails and historic roads around Bear Creek Regional Park.
Distances
- 50k Out-and-back from Bear Creek Regional Park via High Drive and Gold Camp Road
- Half Marathon Out-and-back over the top of historic High Drive
- 10k Lower elevation dirt trails with slight technical footing
The 50k course begins at Bear Creek Regional Park, climbs historic High Drive, continues on Gold Camp Road, and turns around where Gold Camp meets Old Stage Road. The Half Marathon also traverses High Drive on an out-and-back route. The 10k uses lower-elevation sections of the main course and is run entirely on dirt trail.
Aid stations are placed along each course and include Tailwind and Muir Energy Gels, sweet and salty snacks, fruit, and soda. The Cheyenne Canon aid station provides warm food options such as bacon, quesadillas, and potatoes. Several aid stations are crew accessible and some allow drop bags.
Pack pickup is offered at the Colorado Running Company and at Bear Creek Regional Park under the largest pavilion. Bear Creek Regional Park provides parking with attendants and signage directing vehicles. Gold Stage Road and Old Stage Road are narrow and winding with a high probability of snow; 4WD is recommended for some crew access points.
Registration closes on November 17, 2026. Registered participants receive a gender-specific race shirt, a BOCO performance beanie, a personalized bib and finishers’ award, stocked aid stations, and a post-race meal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
