Colorado Cold Rush Ultra - Colorado Springs, November 21, 2026

Colorado Cold Rush Ultra is a winter trail running event held in Colorado Springs with three distance options.

  • 50k
  • Half Marathon
  • 10k

All courses start and finish at Bear Creek Regional Park and use local trails and roads. The 50k is an out-and-back route that climbs historic High Drive, continues on Gold Camp Road, and turns where Gold Camp meets Old Stage Road. The 50k elevation range is 6,175′ to 9,090′ with about 5,500′ of gain. The Half Marathon is an out-and-back that goes up and over the top of historic High Drive with about 2,847′ of elevation gain. The 10k uses lower elevation sections, is 100 percent dirt trail, and has slight technical footing, with about 912′ of elevation gain.

Aid stations are distributed along each course and are described as well stocked. Provided items include Tailwind, Muir Energy gels, snacks, fruit, and soda. The Cheyenne Canon aid station also offers hot options such as bacon, quesadillas, and potatoes. Some aid stations are crew accessible; Gold Stage access involves narrow, winding roads where snow is possible and 4WD is recommended.

Packet pickup is available Friday at Colorado Running Company and Saturday at Bear Creek Regional Park. Registration closes November 17, 2026 and includes a gender specific race shirt, BOCO Performance Beanie, personalized bib and finishers award, access to aid stations, and a post race meal. Parking at Bear Creek Regional Park is described as ample with attendants directing vehicles. Nearby airports noted are Colorado Springs Municipal Airport and Denver International Airport with approximate drive times listed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
