This is a guided trail run along the Norfolk Coast Path. The route covers 19 miles from Holme-Next-The-Sea to Wells-Next-The-Sea. The event is not a race.

Route Details

The route follows sections of the Norfolk Coast Path. It passes through small villages, tidal marshes, and pine woodlands. There is opportunity to spot wildlife and see the wide Norfolk skies. A cafe is located at the finish in Wells-Next-The-Sea.

Logistics

The event has an allowance of 5 hours. Participants are placed into groups based on similar ability, and the run is at a conversational pace. A fully qualified Run Leader guides the group, offering information on points of interest, history, and wildlife. A fully stocked aid station is provided at the halfway point.

Requirements and Information

The event is described as suitable for an intermediate level, meaning participants should have good trail running experience. The terrain includes small sections of road, tracks, hard-packed trails, and beach. Trail shoes are advised. Participants should bring a waterproof jacket, sun cream as needed, at least 500ml of water, and snacks. Parking is available at the start in Holme-Next-The-Sea (pay and display). Participants must arrange their own return travel from Wells-Next-The-Sea; a regular Coasthopper bus service is an option. £1 of each entry fee is donated to the Norfolk Trails Team for trail upkeep.
