Clarendon Marathon
The Clarendon Marathon is a charity running event organised by the Rotary Clubs of Winchester and Salisbury. The full route covers 26.2 miles and follows the Clarendon Way from Salisbury to Winchester. More than 90% of the course is off road, using country tracks and paths that pass through historic landscapes.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 26.2 miles full marathon following the Clarendon Way
- 5 miles Mini run covering the final section from Farley Mount Country Park
Entries are all inclusive. Participants receive a complimentary t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a Souvenir Program printed for the event; the program is also available as a PDF. Organisers provide route resources including 2D and 3D maps, an ascent and descent profile, and a GPX file for navigation.
The Mini run is described as an informal option that includes transport arrangements to the start and the same finish items as the full event. Event media include photo galleries from previous years and event films available online. The Clarendon Marathon is used to raise funds for a range of charities and nonprofit organisations, and the organiser lists multiple local and national beneficiaries.
