Clam Crawl - Massachusetts Shellfish Officers Association
The Massachusetts Shellfish Officers Association (MSOA) hosted the Third Annual Clam Crawl on September 28, 2025 at Sandy Neck Beach in Barnstable. The event is presented as a beach fun run with participants moving over sand.
Participants may walk, run, or crawl on either of two course options:
- 3K course
- 5K course
Proceeds from the event support an MSOA scholarship program for high school seniors pursuing a degree in marine biology who reside in a coastal town or city that sponsors an MSOA representative. The run helps fund three scholarships for high school seniors.
The Clam Crawl is scheduled to return to Sandy Neck Beach on October 11, 2026. For 2026 MSOA is partnering with Cape Cod Roller Derby to support that organization’s scholarship fund, which aims to help young people be active through the sport of roller skating.
