Phoenix Running - Surrey Duckython - Lucky Ducky

Phoenix Running stages the Surrey Duckython Lucky Ducky event on Saturday 13 June 2026 at Xcel Sports Hub, Walton on Thames. The event includes themed entry incentives and a choice of multi-lap distances on a measured lap course.

Early entry incentives are offered. The first 50 entries receive a handmade pom-pom ducky created by a long-time Phoenix runner and a £2 donation per pom-pom to the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity. The first 100 entries also receive a bespoke rubber ducky selected from a lucky-dip sack; one golden duck in the sack awards a free race entry. Every entry receives a 130 mm spinning Lucky Ducky medal; the first 50 receive the pom-pom, rubber ducky and medal, the next 50 receive the rubber ducky and medal.

This is a timed multi-lap event on a 5.3 km (3.28 miles) out and back course along the River Thames towpath. Surface is off road trail and the overall course is described as flat with no elevation gain or loss. Minimum distance is one lap (3.28 miles) or as far as a participant can go within a seven hour time limit.

Start times are flexible within a 1.5 hour start window and organisers can accommodate special start time requests depending on chosen distance. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules.

Entry price options noted include affiliated and unaffiliated rates and a lower cost no medal no ducky option that provides core event services such as aid station support, same day results, athlete profiles, digital BIBs and digital finisher certificates.
