The Chris Lam Trail 5 Miler is a trail running event organized by Widnes Running Club. Hosted in memory of a former club member, the race is currently in its third edition. The course covers a distance of 5 miles and takes place within the grounds of Clock Face Country Park in St Helens.

Participants must be at least 15 years old on the day of the event to compete. The race utilizes chip timing provided by HSS Sports to record results. Awards are presented to the first, second, and third place finishers in both the male and female categories based on these recorded times.

The event is held under UK Athletics (UKA) rules. Per these regulations, the following restrictions apply:

  • Conventional headphones are prohibited; however, bone conduction headphones are permitted.
  • Runners may not be accompanied by dogs.
  • The use of buggies, strollers, or carrying children during the race is not allowed.

The race starts at Clock Face Country Park on Gorsey Lane. Facilities include a Race HQ where participants can collect their race numbers and access event information.
